Contains information from OpenStreetMap, which is made available under the Open Database License. Public route figures are produced works; any public derivative database remains subject to the ODbL terms.
01 Method
Wine bodies, public authorities, tourism institutions and UNESCO pages support specific factual context. Each region guide links the sources it uses. We cite and summarise those pages; we do not present them as one open dataset or claim a blanket reuse licence for their content.
OpenStreetMap coordinates and road data were processed once with OSRM, open-source routing software under its BSD 2-Clause licence. Figures are not live traffic and may not reflect closures.
Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons under the licence on each file: CC BY, CC BY-SA or public domain. The photographer, source file and exact licence travel with every image on its guide, following Wikimedia Commons reuse guidance.
Best-month windows, trip shapes, transport labels and comparisons are transparent editorial judgements from the cited guide evidence. They are not live forecasts, imported climate values, user ratings or an opaque score.
Private or commercial feeds and review-gated storage holdings are excluded from this site. That includes accommodation and price data as well as held vineyard-parcel, soil and climate layers. Possession in storage is not permission to publish.
Follow The Vines does not designate or license its editorial record set as a public dataset distribution, so this page deliberately carries no Dataset structured data. The safe public machine interface remains the small, editorial regions API, with the same source links and no private fields.
